1869 he marries in Paddington, London, to Louisa Harle. Charles's father William Gibbs is described as an engine fitter which reflects his job in the Axletree factory. Charles is a Ticket Inspector.
1871, we can find Charles aged 37 living in Paddington, Marylebone, London. Charles is employed as a Police Inspector on Railway.
I1881, he is still a Railway Inspector, and there is a daughter Louisa aged 8. Charlotte E, 5, Edith M, 4. Surprisingly though there is a nephew Robert Gibbs aged 21, born in Deddington, a Saddler. Robert is the son of Joshua, brother to Charles. In 1891. Charles is still a Railway Inspector. Daughter Louisa, 18, is a Church Embroideress.
1901 Charles is a widow. Charles's wife Louisa died in 1894 in Paddington. Daughters Louisa and Edith remain.
1911 Charles, a retired Railway Inspector, lives in Deddington in St Thomas Sreet, with daughter Edith, then aged 31.
1916 Charles died and is buried in Deddington In his will he passes two properties to his daughter Edith, and these to be passed to his Nephew Frank, son of Samuel, on the death of Edith.
