At the time that A Parish at War went to print only the fact that Private Percy Pinfold was Killed in Action 1 January 1917 aged 24 was known and where he is buried. Details can be found on page 28 of the section The men named on the War Memorial.

Since then a lot more information has come to light courtesy of his niece, Marguerite Weigand, and John Noel the grandson of his sister Alice. In particular, we now know that Percy had a brother David John (known as Jack) who also served as a Private and survived the war. Photographs and more details of the family can be found in the gallery.

In December 2015 Tom and Marguerite Weigand (née Pinfold) provided a very extensive family tree of the descendants of Joseph Pinfold (1862 - 1953). Joseph was Marguerite's grandfather. She would be very pleased to hear by email from any one who is interested in further information.
