The name of the organisation to be the Deddington Parish Archive Group, known henceforth as ‘the group’.

1.    The aims of the organisation are:
a)    To collect, catalogue, store and post online any documents relating to activities, people and events relating to the past of the parish of Deddington.
b)    To use its website to bring this material to a wider community beyond Deddington.
c)    To arrange occasional exhibitions of physical archive material within the parish.
d)    To liaise with other community archive projects and Oxfordshire Libraries and Museums to share resources and expertise. In some specific instances, this will involve charging a small fee to help defray the group’s costs.
e)    To encourage members of the community to become involved in both collecting and sorting material.
2.    Anyone interested in the aims of the group may become a Friend.
3.    The officers of the group shall be Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer plus one Committee Member. These shall hold office for one year and be elected at the Annual General Meeting.
4.    In addition to the Annual General Meeting, members meet on an ad hoc basis to discuss any matters that require attention.
5.    The agenda is prepared by the Secretary in consultation with the Chairman and Treasurer, and Minutes will be circulated after meetings.
6.    The Annual General Meeting will be held no later than 28th February,
7.    The financial and administrative year for the group shall be the period commencing 1 February and ending 31 January.
8.    The bank account shall be operated by a minimum of two signatories from Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer.
9.    Any agreement can be entered into on behalf of the group, provided that it has the full backing of the Committee
