WILL OF FRANCIS ROSE (ORO 147/1/36)


Seventh September 1633

Memorandum that upon or about the seventh day of September Anno Domini 1633, Francis Rose of Deddington in the

County of Oxford blacksmith being of perfect mind and memory and having a purpose to declare his last will and

testament did then publish and declare the same by word of mouth in manner following.

The said Francis Rose (revoking all former wills by him made)

Imprimis did give and bequeath to his son William Rose five pounds to be paid within three months after his decease

and did then forgive him the said William all that he owed him.

Item he gave and bequeathed to his daughter Isabell Rose the sum of five pounds to be paid within three years after

his decease.

Item he gave and bequeathed to his daughter Dorcas Rose five pounds to be paid within two years after his decease.

Item he gave to his daughter Marie Streete the sum of twenty shillings.

All the rest of his goods and chattels whatsoever he gave unto Dorothy Rose his wife whom he did ordain appoint and

nominate executrix of his said last will and testament she paying the said legacies and discharging his funeral

expenses.
