Caleb Gibbs (1852-1939) is probably named after Caleb Eaglestone, a distant relative to Charlotte.

In the 1871 Census he is living in Manningham in Yorkshire, living as a boarder with the Stockdale family, and is working as a ticket collector on the railways.

In 1873 is married to Mary Maria Algerland, daughter of George Algerland, in Bradford St Peter. (Bradford Cathedral). Caleb is 21 and his profession is that of a Policeman, Mary is 21 and a Servant.

In 1876 Caleb remarries, marrying Jane Till, from Penkridge, Staffordshire. From Mary is born William George Gibbs b.1874, and from Jane is born Mary Ellen Gibbs b.1877 in Standeford, Staffordshire.  

In 1881 they are living in Wolverhampton Road, Brewood, Staffordshire. Caleb continues working for the Police. William George Gibbs, born 1874. Married Clara Bayliss in 1896, in Dudley. He worked as a Railway Clerk. They had children Walter b.1897, and Doris Mary b.1905. William died on 18th July 1943, leaving £246.5s.10d in his will to Clara.
